A Letter From Our Chairman & CEO | Part III: Where We’re Going

The goal of Project Periwinkle has always been to fund and advance stomach cancer research that makes a difference.  We succeeded in delivering on that goal over the past ten years, but we know there is still work to do.  Cancer is arguably one of the greatest health challenges our world faces today, and as a player in the international conversation on how to solve this problem and leave our world better off than before we participated and came to be is never lost on me.

Advancements for prevention, early detection, treatments and life after cancer are areas where we have interest, and where this foundation seeks to drive innovation and excellence.

While much of the work we will support in the future is unknown, I am certain it will revolve around the values, commitments and promises we hold close.  Project Periwinkle is results driven, and so are the decisions we make as an organization for where we choose to invest and support.  Project Periwinkle will chase progress while continuing to be the best example of financial stewardship, constantly challenging the status quo, and never settling for less than what we know we and those we support are capable of.  We are building progress together, and I know the best is yet to come.

Getting involved in this cause is personal for everyone, and there are many options for those wanting to make an impact in their own way with Project Periwinkle.  The most simple way is engaging with us on social media, including following our pages and liking and sharing our content, and starting conversations and spreading the word about us in your own networks and community.  For those in a position to support financially, we are extremely grateful for a gift of any size and donations can be made in a number of ways, from online and by mail to more.  A full list of options can be found on our website here.  For those wanting to give their time, you can always volunteer, and can reach out to us by email at ben@projectperiwinkle.org.
