A Letter From Our Chairman & CEO | Preface
As we continue on our journey as an organization, we are near the end of our first decade, and about to recognize stomach cancer awareness month for the 10th time as a foundation. Over the past ten years, what started as a vision for a better world has evolved into a foundation that has created hope, shaped research, enabled progress, and elevated a call for action in cancer research. In 2014, my family was touched this diseased in an unimaginable way, and I knew we could do better as a society, not just by bringing attention to gaps in cancer research and doing something to fill them, but also with how it’s done. Project Periwinkle has challenged the status quo, led by example, and made possible more than we could have ever imagined. As I reflect back on the past decade, I hope to share insights and a personal reflection of Who We Are, What We’ve Done and Where We’re Going.
