Dear Friends,
The past twelve months have been some of the most impactful we have witnessed and been a part of in our history. As we share what we’ve been up to in Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24), I hope you see a reflection of yourself in every decision we made, every research milestone we achieved, and every outcome that we have made possible. I know I have seen all of you in every moment along the way. You are the difference between what was once a dream and what has become the reality we see today.
There were many big moments over the past year! Project Periwinkle was recognized in publications as the source of funding for studies that have moved innovation and progress forward. We again supported work at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, this time with a gift of $50,000, marking our 7th program supported as an organization since our inception nine years ago. We continued to operate successfully in a climate that presented economic challenges, with our biggest year yet, both in revenue and research investments.
We moved the needle for cancer research, together, and our world is better because of it. We built momentum, we not only added to conversations but we started them, we continued to be there for patients, their families and their friends. We have made possible outcomes in research that are touching more lives than we will ever be able to quantify. We did all of this and more because of you.
As we look ahead reflecting on where we are today, I see tremendous opportunity. We have built relationships, started conversations around the importance of the types of research we are making possible, and we have continued to elevate awareness for a disease that still remains one of the greatest health risks in our society. While the future may be unknown, one thing is certain: Project Periwinkle will continue to lead, show up and be there for those depending on it, and will always act with the best interest of its donors and those it serves and impacts at top of mind.
